TIP OF THE DAY
Nose Bleed?
To treat a nose bleed sit casualty down, tip head forward and pinch the soft part of the nose. Maintain pressure for ten minutes. If bleeding hasn’t stopped, repeat procedure for a maximum of 30 minutes before sending to hospital.
Whilst pinching the nose, advise casualty to breathe through their mouth.
