APPOINTED PERSON - ONE DAY BASIC FIRST AID COURSE

This short one-day Course is aimed at ALL LEVELS of Staff and should be considered for 'APPOINTED PERSONS' and Employees working in small groups away from their Employer's establishment, or where a specific hazard exists, or as a 'REFRESHER' for qualified First Aiders approx. mid-way between re-qualifying Courses.

Courses can be held at your premises anywhere in the South of England, or on our Premises in London.

The Syllabus covers the immediate management of the Life-Threatening conditions:

BREATHING difficulties incl Choking.

BLEEDING

UNCONSCIOUSNESS

Recognition and management of Epileptic Fits, Diabetic Emergencies, Heart Attacks and Shock are also covered - conditions that could affect anyone, anywhere at any time.

The importance of good communication and recording of accidents is emphasised and the contents of the standard First Aid demonstrated

Tutors and Assessors: All Tutors and Assessors supplied by STS have a wide Teaching experience and hold the current First Aid at Work and NVQ Assessors qualification. Most hold the Further Education Teachers Certificate and have practical experience in the Workplace.
