Qualified First Aiders
1 appointed person + 1 extra in case of holiday
STS understand that every customer has different first aid needs. If you are in a small office with fewer than fifty people, working regular hours your risk will be fairly low.
For low risk companies, we would recommend that a member of staff is appointed to take charge of first aid equipment and facilities. They would be called upon to take charge in an emergency situation. With this in mind, they should be responsible, reliable and have good communication skills. The appointed person should be able to leave their normal duties in order to respond to an emergency.
Don’t forget, people take holidays so it’s a good idea to have a back up person in the case of emergency.
