Qualified First Aiders
At least 1 qualified + 1 appointed person, but take into account size of area, locations, holiday leave.
Employees working in industry involving construction, manufacturing, use of machinery, sharp instruments or chemicals, face a greater danger at work than most. The need for good First Aid cover is paramount. There should be adequate First Aid equipment and trained personnel available at all times.
It is generally recommended that one appointed person would suffice. However, depending on your hazards, you may like to consider having at least one qualified First Aider.
Special consideration should be given to shift patterns, large site areas and isolated work locations.
